Lifetime Experience Safaris cannot guarantee that your stay at an accommodation facility will be 100% satisfactory. We can only go on the experience of our guests and their comments and personal visits. When we recommend a lodging facility it is because many of our customers have spoken or written favorably of this facility. We recommended that you do not have to base expectations on the experience of your country where "everything is available". Try being flexible and have a better understanding of your lodging choice, let the differences be part of your African Adventure. You will be enjoyably surprised by the quality of service you will receive.
While Uganda is lovely, Nkuringo is “an oasis paradise” - especially the site of the Camp. The Gorilla trekking is phenomenal.
You have heard it said-location-location. This location is simply beautiful. The Volcanoes of the Virunga Chain are in full view. Wherever you go here there is another fabulous view to be taken in. There are two up-market cottages that are self contained. There is no electricity here and no tiresome generators. Lanterns to light your way. If you stay here bring some extra batteries or charge them in the vehicle attaching your camera or charger to the cigarette lighter. Water has to be carried up from the river below, but the cottages have flushing toilets and water is deposited in a tank.
People who stay here simply rave about the location. There is a hike here to the top of the world and look into the Democratic Republic of Congo. You are in the Nkuringo sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and from here you can access the gorillas at Nkuringo and also at Rushaga.
The great campsite which offers all commodities to be very comfortable at literally 5 minutes walking distance from the Nkuringo gorilla park entrance. The campsite offer all the comfort you are willing to pay for. It has great food, comfortable and very clean rooms. The staff is extremely helpful. The campsite is on the edge of the Nkuringo community which you will want to visit and interact with its people.
You can also be able to visit the school and speak with a lot of the community children. You can play football with the boys from the local village (very authentic experience) and then enjoy the songs of the local children all looking over gorgeous valleys and mountains. In the evenings, the staff is excellent and jolly hosts and the conversations around the campfire are memorable.
