Lifetime Experience Safaris cannot guarantee that your stay at an accommodation facility will be 100% satisfactory. We can only go on the experience of our guests and their comments and personal visits. When we recommend a lodging facility it is because many of our customers have spoken or written favorably of this facility. We recommended that you do not have to base expectations on the experience of your country where "everything is available". Try being flexible and have a better understanding of your lodging choice, let the differences be part of your African Adventure. You will be enjoyably surprised by the quality of service you will receive.
This charming tented camp located conveniently close to the Bigodi Wetlands and only a short drive from the starting point for chimp tracking, it is probably your best option if you have to book several trackings and wish to go birding extensively in the nearby wetland without commuting every day from Fort Portal or the lodgings near the crater lake area.
The camp its self is a bit of paradise for birders. Kibale Forest Camp is a small tented camp in the African Safari style in the jungle of Kibale Forest.
There are only 7 Tents available. It is owned by Nature Lodges who consistently bring quality and affordable lodging as with their Bush Lodge at Queen Elizabeth National Park. Value is one of the key words here and yet guests love Kibale Forest Camp.
The food is well prepared International Dishes are served, lovely curried dishes can be had, their banana pancakes are said to be some of the best in Uganda. The restaurant is a lovely open structure, tastefully put together in harmony with its surroundings.
The tents have electricity and are self contained, serenity in the jungle of Kibale Forest. Each tent is self contained and has a bush shower and eco-friendly toilets. The African Safari Type Tents are raised on wooden platforms, you have a porch to sit and listen to the sounds of the jungle around you, observe the Colobus monkeys and other primates along with countless of birds and colorful butterflies.
If you like to include Kibale Forest Camp in your itinerary, please feel free to let us know.
