Lifetime Experience Safaris cannot guarantee that your stay at an accommodation facility will be 100% satisfactory. We can only go on the experience of our guests and their comments and personal visits. When we recommend a lodging facility it is because many of our customers have spoken or written favorably of this facility. We recommended that you do not have to base expectations on the experience of your country where "everything is available". Try being flexible and have a better understanding of your lodging choice, let the differences be part of your African Adventure. You will be enjoyably surprised by the quality of service you will receive.
It is an impressive driveway into Ndali Lodge along the rim of a crater to the lodge which sits on the rim above a crater lake. The view is stunning of the Crater Lake out one side and the Rwenzori’s (The Mountains of the moon) out the other. They have large cottages with two queen beds, plenty of chairs and storage areas and a fabulous bathroom with views to die for from the bath even! There is solar powered lighting supplemented by candlelight if required and other than being a bit dim we never missed having regular electricity They have large baths with hand held showers over them and separate showers as well. Sometime you can find water pressure not strong enough to be able to use the normal shower because of the altitude but perfect for the hand held shower over the bath and if you use the regular shower will not be able to look out at that view. There is plenty of hot water though.
There is a main thatched lodge with spacious sitting room, reception area and dinning room flanked by 8 cottages providing luxurious accommodation for 16 guests. The cottages which face west offer a panoramic view of the spectacular 'Mountains of the Moon'. They were designed by Capt. Mark Price and are built of local stone and thatch. The interiors are imaginatively and comfortably furnished where the decor empahsis in on the use local materials. Each cottage, large enough to accommodate a family, has en-suite facilities
The food is fabulous; a cut above most lodges’ food and the service is impeccable. This is clearly a place where the owners’ enthusiasm and professionalism rub off onto the other staff. Dinner on is a real occasion and the selection of Curries and condiments provided cannot be out of place at a top restaurant in Uganda.
In the morning you can choose to have a leisurely breakfast on a table set up on the outside deck overlooking the Crater Lake and you will have the most enjoyable time. Above a beautiful Crater Lake and forest with thousands of birds. Just to watch the birds fro, the balcony every morning is like being in a nature film.
