Located near Ishasha plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, Savannah Resort Hotel provides moderate lodging to those wanting to explore the Ishasha Plains and its tree climbing lions which are its star attraction. You can see the fantastic tree climbing lions 20 minutes away from the hotel. This large lodge is situated close to Kihihi airstrip, which is actually the main port of entry for Bwindi Forest, 3 km away from the Congolese border. Many visitors use this spot as a stop between Queen Elizabeth Park and Bwindi Gorilla tracking (trekking).
It is moderately priced, hotel with free Wi-Fi for use in the lobby/restaurant areas. Although it sometimes goes slow, you’ll like it since it one amenity that allows you touch base with those back home while you are in the African wilderness. The hotel has a very nice, well maintained pool.
All units are self contained. – Nice spotless clean, spacious and very ambient. Rondavel style Bandas (round cabins) with in room water heating system, similar to those you find throughout South America that are attached to the water output of the shower and heat the water instantly as it passes through the shower head. A little different and pleasant compared to other Uganda Safari lodges as it ensures each user equally has a hot shower.
Food can be obtained all day long. – Dinner menu is usually huge and varies, - very delicious meals. It offers full board for guests.
