Lifetime Experience Safaris cannot guarantee that your stay at an accommodation facility will be 100% satisfactory. We can only go on the experience of our guests and their comments and personal visits. When we recommend a lodging facility it is because many of our customers have spoken or written favorably of this facility. We recommended that you do not have to base expectations on the experience of your country where "everything is available". Try being flexible and have a better understanding of your lodging choice, let the differences be part of your African Adventure. You will be enjoyably surprised by the quality of service you will receive.
Sipi Falls Resort overlooks the main waterfall & was a British Governors residence in the 1950's. - lovely thatched cabins called Bandas here. Perched on the cliff with a great view of the main Falls. Sipi Falls Resort is located in the Mount Elgon West area of eastern Uganda. The views of the main falls from this lodge are the best you can have and there is a garden with tables allowing great views also of the valley far below. The 1st falls is literally in the backyard and provides great views too. It’s one basic yet up-market lodging option in the area.
Sipi Falls Resort offers private, self contained thatched cottages and a very relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and nicely made of bamboo, bathrooms with showers and compost toilets. Hot water is quickly available by arrangement as they have to light a fire.
Rooms are surrounded by pleasant gardens and arranged in two lines. If you want the quietest ones, ask for the those at the end of the line furthest from the main lodge. In 2012, they extended the hotel with 2 new luxury cottages with views of the second falls, double showers, massive double beds and generally great times enjoyed inside!
Electricity supply is a bit unstable, the generator runs in the evenings when you need light and staff is always on hand with flashlights /torches if you need help to find the room in the dark. Be certain to move with your own as electricity shortage seems to be common here. The staff and management certainly go out of their way to make you feel welcome
The food is also very nice, evening meals are vary: beef, tilapia, chicken and there is tasty French toast, eggs, bananas and so much more you would love their breakfast.
Our good cooperation with this hotel in the past has helped us arrange many options of different tours of the Sipi falls. They have always provided us with good local guides who can show you around for a small fee. They also have a great local coffee production tour which includes going to a local plantation to see how coffee is made!
