Because Uganda is located near the middle of Africa, close to the equator, the weather in Kampala (the capital city) is warm throughout the year. Although travel is possible throughout the year, there are certain months that are more comfortable than others because of rain.
On average, the hottest months of the year in Kampala are October and February, during which time the daily high temperatures will generally hover in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s. Nighttime temperatures during these months will generally drop to the lower 60’s. The coldest months of the year in Kampala on average are June and July, during which time the daily high temperatures will generally reach the lower 80’s. The nighttime temperatures during these months will fall to the lower 60’s on average. This temperature comparison shows that there is little variation from month to month.
The two rainy seasons are from March through May, and from the end of September through January. Although it is possible to visit during these wet seasons, trekking and many of the outdoor activities available in Kampala can be more challenging during the dry months. A benefit of travel during the wet months is discounted hotel rates around the city.
Sunrise and Sunset: It varies by a few minutes throughout the year. Dawn and sunrise will come at around 6:30 am in the morning. If you are near a mosque, the first call to prayer will be at 5 in the morning alone with the roosters. Sunset is at 7 pm or shortly thereafter, giving 12½ hours of daylight each day
Uganda Weather depends on the geographical location of the country. The latitude of Uganda is 0 degree 19' S while the longitude of the country is 32 degree 35' E. Uganda enjoys a tropical climate with two dry seasons from December to February and from June to August. Other than that it mostly encounters rainy days
Kampala - Elevation 1,155 meters: The high temperature will vary by 3 degrees Celsius over the year, the mean daily high being 27 degrees Celsius. The low varies between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius throughout the year.

Entebbe - Elevation 1,145 meters: The high temperature will vary by 2 degrees Celsius over the year, the mean daily high being 26 degrees Celsius. The low varies between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Entebbe is cooler and the British made it the capital of Uganda since it was more comfortable to live along Lake Victoria with its breeze and somewhat cooler climate and less humid might one add.
