Lifetime Experience Safaris cannot guarantee that your stay at an accommodation facility will be 100% satisfactory. We can only go on the experience of our guests and their comments and personal visits. When we recommend a lodging facility it is because many of our customers have spoken or written favorably of this facility. We recommended that you do not have to base expectations on the experience of your country where "everything is available". Try being flexible and have a better understanding of your lodging choice, let the differences be part of your African Adventure. You will be enjoyably surprised by the quality of service you will receive.
The latest addition to the Marasa Africa accommodations and lodging in Uganda. The Silverback Lodge completes the dynamic circuit of the portfolio to eco-style living while on safari in Uganda, – twelve rooms here all with a view of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
They are located in the Buhoma sector right next to the Park Headquarters for Mountain Gorilla Tracking (trekking) which is a most intimate experience for those tracking the Mountain Gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in western Uganda. Silverback Lodge is just 5 minute walk from the national park with sweeping views of the valley and forests arround.
This small and cozy lodge right on top of the hill, overlooking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The views are absolutely stunning. Birdwatching and primate viewing is possible right from the front door of your room. The location is convenient for gorilla tracking (trekking) and you can travel to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth Park in relative short time.
Silverback Lodge is on the Lifetime Experience Safaris recommended Lodging list, our experience with Marasa Africa – the management company for Silverback Lodge has in its other lodging facilities given our clients consistent quality service, better food, comfortable rooms and there is one added comfort and that has to do with your pocketbook – you save hundreds of dollars per night over other up-market, luxury lodging facilities.
The architectural design is simple and natural, yet filled with the character that GeoLodges Uganda has become known for.
The rooms built next to each other that are designed using local materials, such as the forest vines, sisal rope and purple slate stone. Each room has an ensuite bathroom (with hot water showers) and comfortable chairs on the private veranda for viewing the forest and clouds that drift by in the valley.
There is also a large garden area for you to relax it being near to the forest. It is a well planned lodge and visitors enjoy both their rooms and the surroundings, on top of it all there is the friendly and helpful staff.
The restaurant has unique and creative menus that are prepared by the Chef for your tastes. FOOD: every meal gets you going WOW! Some of the best food you can have in Uganda. You may wonder why they put knives on the table, as their meat is always incredibly tender that it just falls apart!, - all the flavours are just beautiful. Dishes vary from local to international menus, set in cozy surroundings,...my best bet is you would fall in love with this place.
The snack bar is well stocked and in a comfortable setting which is perfect for sharing the day's adventures of gorilla-trekking, primate watching and bird viewing.
