“Absolutely "a must see!”
Lifetime Experience Safaris cannot guarantee that your stay at an accommodation facility will be 100% satisfactory. We can only go on the experience of our guests and their comments and personal visits. When we recommend a lodging facility it is because many of our customers have spoken or written favorably of this facility. We recommended that you do not have to base expectations on the experience of your country where "everything is available". Try being flexible and have a better understanding of your lodging choice, let the differences be part of your African Adventure. You will be enjoyably surprised by the quality of service you will receive.
Here you have the opportunity to spend the night in the jungle or overlooking. Comfortable Cabins overlooking Kibale Forest, with views of the snowcapped Rwenzori Mountains - or stay right in the jungle itself - in a self contained Treehouse - six meters above the ground - spend the night surrounded by the sounds of the jungle itself - Forest Elephants making their way below you, primates in the trees, the sounds of a multitude of birds around you.
No matter where you stay the well trained staff tends to your need - Lonely Planet speaks highly of Chimps' Nest-it is certainly an affordable pearl in the Jungle. The Dutch Management Team has created a lovely retreat in the Kibale Rainforest Jungle. There are trails on the grounds where you spot many of the birds contained in the forest.
Many of our clients have found Chimps' Nest as one of their favorite if not most unique place to stay while on Safari in Uganda. Though Chimps' Nest is moderately priced - Clients that have been on a luxury safari loved the experience of sleeping in the jungle. The food is prepared with care and sumptuous meals are provided for the guest. Food for the restaurant is locally purchased from farmers, beekeepers –and others.
Chimps' Nest is a few minutes from the entrance to Kibale Forest and Bigodi Swamp, but you can also visit local tea plantations, crater lakes, village visits and more while staying at this lovely accommodation facility.
Lodging at Chimps' Nest – cabins - tree houses - Dormitory and tenting. A unique place to stay in the Jungle.

Chimps' Nest Lodge (Moderate to Up-Market): “Absolutely "a must see!"” Excellent service, very friendly staff, amazing to see the monkeys around the treehouse and the sounds of the bush are impressive.
Kibale Forest Camp (Moderate): This charming tented camp located conveniently close to the Bigodi Wetlands and only a short drive from the starting point for chimp tracking, it is probably your best option if you have to book several trackings and wish to go birding extensively in the nearby wetland without commuting every day from Fort Portal or the lodgings near the crater lake area.
Kluge's Guest Farm (Better Budget - Moderate) This beautiful and friendly climate attracted Mariam and Stefan Kluge in 1992, into buying a 70 acres piece of land near Fort Portal 3-4hr drive from Kampala. A mixed farm with cattle, goats, horses, pet, chicken and turkeys and vegetables, fruits, matooke and other crops meeting most of Kluge’s Guest Farm’s fresh produce needs. Guests can visit the farm.
