Lifetime Experience Safaris cannot guarantee that your stay at an accommodation facility will be 100% satisfactory. We can only go on the experience of our guests and their comments and personal visits. When we recommend a lodging facility it is because many of our customers have spoken or written favorably of this facility. We recommended that you do not have to base expectations on the experience of your country where "everything is available". Try being flexible and have a better understanding of your lodging choice, let the differences be part of your African Adventure. You will be enjoyably surprised by the quality of service you will receive.
Sambiya River Lodge – Situated in the grounds of the National Park and there are wild animals to be heard all around. Sambiya River Lodge is very relaxing and gives you time to recoup from your busy days of game drives, waterfall hiking and chimp trekking! The Lodge is situated only 15 minutes from the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls. It is the perfect location for those seeking the experience of the tranquility African wilderness.
If you are a bird watcher this is an awesome place to see a wide variety of birds. The shoebill stork is found here. You can see the animals just as you imagined it. Animals roam through the grounds in the evening and guests are advised by staffs not to wander around the grounds alone at night and to ask a guard to escort you to your hut.
The staff really seems to care that you enjoy your stay and ere attentive, polite and helpful at all times.
Accommodations are in one/two person huts/cabins sometime called cottages, stay in any of their 26 double basic rooms, family thatched cottages but pretty and clean. These stone cabins are very unique and spotless. Each one is fairly private and has a small sitting area out front to enjoy the views around. The beds are very comfortable.
These self contained cottages have all the amenities like hot water showers, comfortable beds with mosquito nets. This is well needed for a good night sleep after long safari. In the Morning masala tea is provided to you at your cottage. Enjoy the coffee delivered to the front door first thing in the morning. It is nice to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise - an amazing view. I think it is a nice touch that the Sambiya lodge supplies guests with a packed lunch for the game drive in Murchison Park. You can also enjoy the full bar - and ice - for a drink after a long day of exploring the park.
Sambiya River Lodge has also a Swimming Pool, but sometime not filled up - probably during the low season. This is appreciated after a day's trekking and safari.
There are is a nice restaurant in the main building with excellent staff. They are very helpful and Vegetarian dishes and many others including Indian meals are prepared quite efficiently by the lodge Chef.

ACCOMODATING CHILDREN AT SAMBIYA RIVER LODGE
Family cottages are available, which consist of two rooms with an interconnecting door. The first room contains a double bed and the second room, two twin beds. The lodge prefers families with two to four children to take this option. If family cottages are booked, full rates are applicable. If there is a request for additional beds to be added in the rooms, ONLY ONE camp bed and/or baby cot is allowed per room since the rooms are not large enough to accommodate a third full size twin bed.
Mosquito nets are provided over double and single beds, as well as baby cots. It is now possible to fit mosquito nets over camp beds. Reservations are acknowledged at the time of booking, but only confirmed upon receipt of prepayment or deposit.
Rates are subject to change without notice.

Food is reasonable and tasty, the restaurant is open until 9:30pm and the bar closes at midnight. A favorite amongst Backpackers.

It is a viable budget option for visitor to Murchison Falls Park. The prices are reasonable and the rooms are en-suite and breakfast is included. We have used this facility as a budget option since often in the summer months Red Chilli is fully booked and our clients have enjoyed Global Village Guest House. Lunch and Dinner can be obtained for most decent prices.
